Downgrade from Windows 8?

originalSeriously?

Windows 8 is not that difficult people, seriously. Windows 8 is just like windows 7 just the start menu is the main screen now and the desktop is an application like it supposed to be.  With little tricks we can make the windows 8 start menu back but still I rather teach you how to use windows 8 then to exploit you with the downgrade to stay in the past and I rather do that half the price.  Windows 8 is much better and more secure then Windows 7 and a bit more stable.  You don’t need a touch screen, nor do you need anything special and fancy to really enjoy it. The Metro Apps I found to be more convenient then you think it is.  I like to have my app separated from Windows Explorer (your desktop viewer + start menu + task bar etc…) Full screen and more focus that I don’t have to be or feel like I have ADD with multiple windows open.  In many cases this is good especially when you want to focus on work, reading, gaming etc…

But then again I guess people are just afraid of change yet they changed from Windows XP to Vista then to Windows 7, now Windows 8 changes things all over again they are also afraid of the change and I see a repeat as I did with Windows 98 to Windows XP, 0r from Vista back to XP.

Just have a nice 1 on 1 with me and by the end of the day I’ll convince you that Windows 8 isn’t as bad as you think and why down grading to 7 is bad for you.  Even though I still to this day Run Linux as a real OS, Windows 8 is a better step forward.  Just wished 8 was more theme able or really customization in how the metro apps look and feel.  Surely in time maybe The Stardock Windows Blinds will fix that.

Computer Myths… of slow computers, lol.

Next time you have a suspicion of a crappy computer guy who just robbed you of your money.

I found that this is very helpful
http://lifehacker.com/5958001/the-5-biggest-myths-about-slow-pcs-and-how-you-can-actually-fix-them

It explains the 5 biggest myths about slow Computers,  I couldn’t agree more.  As I work I couldn’t help but to read this and notice the issues that is pertained around this.

These myths follow what I have seen in the past 10 years, as an overview.

  1.  People install big bloated expensive with a service Antivirus programs.
This is something I tend to do, before I would recomend at the time the lightweight most effective antivirus program Norton, McAfee or anything big corp company type is bloat / crap ware to begin with. When I work on PC’s about slowness This is one of the things I recommend.
  2.  More ram then you actually need
Unless you are a gamer, sudo movie maker, or doing alot of memory allocated apps. typical user only needs 3GB on a 32bit system and on a 64bit 4gb.
  3.  Hardware wares out like a rubber band ?!?
This still has to be a silly one because hardware doesn’t *ware* out per-se. It’s like a light switch it’s on or off or burnt out like a bulb.
  4.  Registry cleaners,  system maintenance programs, really?
Seriously you don’t need to keep a maintenance on your system like that if you have read the article written above I would follow it because it’s true and  before even this even occurred I would look more into what do you have installed?  and why? Anything vista and above it rarely needs any maintenance period.
  5. Lets Re-install Windows again it’s been 3 months.
I have had windows 7 the same one I purchased when it first came out in 2009 same one isntalled, still running fast and strong and I game, program, and even run various Virtual Box images for server side base testing purposes. This used to be a windows 98 thing because computer guys back in win98 days couldn’t figure out how to fix the system right and it’s an easy way to make a quick buck by “hey, your os is broken $200 to fix and reimage your machine.”  But then again Crapware was also being a major factor in these old days.  It’s been around since windows 98 days not much of windows 95 but 98 started the era of crapware, adware, and malware. Popups, advertising programs, and other misc stuff started then and still exist now and it is started by installing a tool bar or a screen saver and my favorite “button click’ritious” clicking next and not unchecking the tool bar to be installed. Only time an OS needs to be reinstalled if the OS files are corrupted due to a “bad” install or uninstall of a critical program that wrote to the system folders, Virus, Spyware, and Malware issues.  Or bad hardware to a point of no return.
Has some good articles on how to do the maintenance on your windows  7 machine.
